Messiah’s Grief Support Group has been meeting for about a year and a half and we have decided to change the group’s name to “Hope for the Journey.”
During this time a small group of people have gathered weekly to discuss the loss and grief they are living with. What we have found is that it is not really the grief that is important but the support of talking through our feelings and finding ways to create hope for the future. We have become good friends who understand perfectly what it means when someone says “I cried all day long.”
Something has triggered memories and sadness, but we trust that the future holds better days because we have friends, family and the presence of God with us on our journey. Together, we are seeking hope while traveling through life’s ups and downs and this is best done with friends and prayer.
If you are also looking for hope during these times when we are experiencing so many losses, come and join “Hope for the Journey.” We meet on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 – 4:30 on Zoom. Please contact Pastor Aileen, Cathy Coe or Ellen Meyer with any questions or for meeting details.
