Library
Members of Messiah enjoy access to one of Greece's most complete religious libraries. Books on Christian subjects ranging from Bible commentaries to fiction by leading Christian authors are available at no charge whenever the church is open.
Our fiction section contains a selection of large print books. We also have nonfiction books dealing with moral/ethical issues, books for caregivers and crafts, and a humor section.
We have many books on the religious experience, i.e. how to deepen your prayer life, how to be a better church member, how to be a Christian leader. There are books on Luther and books on other religions, Christian and non.
We have biographies and autobiographies, picture atlases, bibles and biblical cookbooks. There is a children and teens section; there are movies and music for all ages.
If you want it, we’ve probably got it. If you want it and can’t find it, a note to Cathy Coe will be forwarded to the library team, which will help you out. Or you can ask via email at MessiahLibrary@gmail.com.
Birdhouse? Is it a mailbox? Is it a birdhouse?
No, it's a Little Free Library and it is located in the prayer garden at Messiah. It is a small wooden container that is filled with books and anyone can stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization and all 50 states and 40 countries worldwide have been involved. There are 15,000 world-wide and counting.
Harry Doty made Messiah's Little Free Library. Please take some time and check it out and a book too! For more information and a map of all the Little Free Library locations, go to littlefreelibrary.org.
