Worship Assistants

At Messiah we take seriously our call as the Priesthood of All Believers. All members are invited to participate fully in the worship life of the congregation. That includes not only being fully engaged from the pew, but also volunteering to participate in the leadership of our worship services.

While the Pastor serves as the preacher and presider at the Eucharist, there are ample opportunities for our disciples to read lessons, lead the Creed and Prayer as well as assist with the distribution of Holy Communion.

The Administrative Assistant has designated bulletins with these liturgical elements highlighted. Any person who wishes to serve God in this way is welcome to accept the usher’s invitation to take one and come forward at the appointed time in the liturgy.
