Youth group teens (grades 6-12) meet for many faith-filled, fun events throughout the year.  They also get together to talk, play games, reach out to serve, and share fellowship with each other. They currently get together several times a month on different days, to accommodate busy & differing family schedules. Some of the activities include getting together with other area Lutheran youth, activities with younger youth and members within the congregation at Messiah, planning their participation in worship, remodeling their youth room and welcoming outside speakers on many different topics. For more information on the next youth event, check the website calendar, church bulletin, or contact Tarra Hartmann. 

 Every three years, youth in 9th grade through 12th grade (completed) are offered the opportunity to attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering, which takes place in a different city each time. This opportunity is offered at little cost to families, due to the generosity of the Messiah congregation. Messiah church values youth in their faith journey and the significant faith experience the National Youth Gathering can bring. The youth currently are preparing to attend the gathering being held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2021. They will travel together with other Lutheran youth from around the Genesee Finger Lakes Conference to attend this event with over 30,000 other Lutheran youth from across the country. It is an exciting and important event for many of these teens.
